LAZY GIRLS GUIDE TO SKINCARE

I hear you. It's been a long day of sitting in the living room and all you want to do is get comfy in bed, maybe with a cuppa and then drift off only to do it all again. It's great once you find the warm spot in bed and you're like "I am not moving for anyone now I'm here".
Sometimes a skincare routine can feel so time consuming! Especially with the Korean 10 step skincare kits I've seen and such. And while we all have the time now, we know we won't as soon as lockdown lifts so I will be digging out the essential steps and the stuff you can afford to miss to make your skincare routine as quick and easy as possible, this ones for you lazy girls out there!

 Use SPF!

The first essential step is SPF! SPF is so important for protecting your skin, it protects against sun damage even if where you live isn't very sunny - so no, SPF is no just for holiday! The good news is thatSPF can be found in serums, moisurisers, foundation... you name it, there is probably a product with SPF in it!You just have to look on the label. Revolution have moisturising creams with SPF 15 and 30 in, and they come tailored for either dry, or oilier skin so everyone wins! You can take a little look if you fancy, they're so affordable and takes out the added step of applying SPF separately! Also, Maybelline have a foundation with SPF 50 in! How amazing is that! You can find that here and this would also take out the SPF step in your skincare. The two together, the sun has no chance!
However, if you did want to add an SPF separately to be on the safe side, here are The Times' Best SPF Products. They explain it better than I will because they've included every skin type!

Invest in a good serum- Ditch the Moisturiser!

I have incredibly dry skin, like eczema prone skin it's so bad. And I don't wear moisturiser anymore because I have found a serum that works wonders on my skin! I have heard doctors say that serum sinks in to the skin more and offers more hydration, whereas moisturiser sits on top of the skin more, making it seem like you're soft and smooth but it isn't running as deep as the serum would. I use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Serum and it has eliminated all other hydrating steps in my routine! I just apply it after toning my face in the morning and then I am good to go for the whole day, which is why I find this to be such a lazy-girl staple! It's packed with Hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and chondrus crispus (which is SO slept on and underrated) to keep you moisturised.

Lil Extra: Chondrus crispus (A.K.A Irish Moss) is such a rich source of nutrients for your skin, it provides natural hydration, which protects, softens, and smoothes your skin. The protection comes from the anti-oxidants zeaxanthin and lutien, which protect against the visible effects of blue light exposure. It also provides a form of defence against environmental agressors and pollutions, meaning your pores won't get as clogged either- especially if you live in the city! WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS?!

Time for toning tips!

If the act of toning your face before serum etc etc. really isn't your thing, then I recommend These toning pads from Nip + Fab You can see me talk about these on my AGORA feed (download Here)!
Toner is important because it will remove any remaining bits of oil, dirt and debris left behind after washing your face. It will also help soothe, nourish, and hydrate the skin while restoring its pH balance. Toning can feel pointless or like a chore sometimes, but these pre-toned pads make it so easy; you literally just get 1 pad out of the box, swipe it across your face, and throw it in the bin! I promise you will feel so clean and refreshed after these that you won't regret it!

And what about at night?

Night time can be one of the worst times to look after your skin, but it is still important, especially if you're acne or blemish prone. Now those who know me will know that I am guilty of sleeping in my makeup every once in a while and I really shouldn't! That's why I've scouted the internet for the most effective yet effortless makeup remover, and I think I've only gone and done it!
So This is a miracle makeup remover, you literally just get a small dollop of the Balmsaway balm and rub it gently in circular motions over your eyes and then spread to the rest of your face and wash off. It's that simple! It also has vitamins A, C, and E so its nourishing for your skin too, meaning I skip a heavy night cream! (Annoyingly, I paid about £16 for it from The Balm and I've found it on Amazon for £5.99)
After that, I use the Nip+Fab Extreme Night Pads which are basically the same as the ones I mentioned previously, they're just a bit more heavy duty! Then I apply my holy grail serum once more and get into bed! Not many steps at all!

So for a lil summary for you:

In the morning: Toning pad, serum, SPF
In the evening: Makeup removing balm, toning pad, serum

Am I lazy with it or what?!

Love always ,
